University of Essex: The Human Rights Centre is looking to appoint a Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer with a social sciences background. Applicants are invited from all areas of human rights, but we would particularly welcome those with an interest in minority rights and the rights of indigenous peoples. University of Aberdeen: The School of Geosciences is investing in two positions and appointments will range between Lecturer and Chair level depending on qualifications and experience. The Chair in Human Geography will provide academic leadership and create opportunities to develop new collaborative research across the School and College. Priority areas are in the fields of sustainable international development and resource management, but applicants with wider interests in any area of Human Geography are also encouraged to apply. University of Exeter: We are looking for a leading international figure in international relations. Applicants will be innovative researchers with a strong track record of research funding and international quality publications. Applicants with an interest in security studies or international political economy are particularly encouraged to apply although we are open to any area of international relations that fits with the research themes of the Department of Politics. Johns Hopkins University: The Department of Sociology invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship, effective July 1, 2013, in the fields of world-systems analysis, global social change, comparative and/or historical sociology. Experience in teaching, research and professional service should be commensurate with that expected in a research-intensive University in which there is a strong commitment to instruction at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Swansea University: The Department of Political and Cultural Studies invites applications for the position of Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer in Politics within the College of Arts and Humanities. It is expected that he/she will be a political scientist who can offer expertise in one of the following related fields of study: comparative politics; international governance and public policy; political economy; and political communication. Ohio University: The Department of Political Science invites applications for a tenure track appointment in Human Security/ International Relations. Research agendas could encompass, but are not limited to, global poverty and development, gender, health security, migration and refugees, post conflict reconstruction, or environmental sustainability. Preference will be given to candidates who can enhance our curriculum on the politics of the Global South, especially Asia, Latin America, or the Middle East.
